The first big kitchen remodel project for 2021 is officially in the books for us and we are loving it! It’s hard to know exactly how this kitchen laid out when comparing it to the before photos and for us, that means a job well done. This family was tired of their old kitchen and just really didn’t feel like there was any natural flow to it. We came in and removed several walls, created new access points into the kitchen, rearranged the appliances and added a beautiful island to their new open concept kitchen. White shaker cabinets with a subway tile backsplash lends this kitchen a classic feel yet still clean and modern. The quartz which was selected has beige veining and the upper glass cabinets provide an additional focal point on the range wall. All new wood-tile flooring throughout the home, recess lighting and under-cabinet lighting along with beautiful chrome faucets brings this kitchen new life and having an overhang on the island allows for this amazing new space to not only draw guests in but also allows them to sit and enjoy all of the offerings it holds!

Who says small kitchens can’t have a little bit of glam?  This homeowner started with a pretty basic white kitchen but envisioned her space with a lot more personality!  She loves gold so we not only went with gold accent throughout but also added a custom gold-detailed hood! We achieved this by cutting aluminum strips and having them coated to match her other gold accents.  After placing them out we framed them in adding more dimension.  A full height backsplash with matching veining adds an upscale feel for this condo kitchen.  Overall, this was a fun project and we’re just as happy as the homeowner with the outcome!

What started out as an incredibly unfortunate flood turned into a prime opportunity for this couple to get the dream kitchen they’d always hoped for! We raised the ceiling, added a featured exposed beam, reconfigured the floor plan, added a large island with some great statement pendants, new flooring, floating shelves, framed in hood… overall we’re loving this farmhouse inspired kitchen!

This was a fun project.  We got to give this kitchen a completely different look within a reasonable budget.  By not having to tear out all of the cabinets we, saved the homeowner the cost of replacement and hassle of being out of the kitchen for a few weeks.  After deciding to keep the cabinets, we got started by getting rid of the dated doors and replacing them with a shaker style.  The shaker style is simple, always in style and also easy to keep clean.  We then had to sand and prep the existing cabinet frames to be stained. The homeowners chose a very deep, rich espresso shade which we loved!  Going from a natural oak to rich espresso we were able to totally update the appearance of the cabinets.  We also added new stainless steel handles which was a nice accent as well.  This family loves to cook and be together in the kitchen so we took out the step up bar area by the sink and create a flush island that opens up the kitchen area and allows everyone to feel involved.  We removed the original Corian counter tops and replaced it with White Quartz slabs and a full back splash which really make this kitchen sleek and clean.  A 60/40 under mount sink was another upgrade from the original cast iron over mount that was originally installed.  We removed the overhead microwave and replaced it with a hood which was big perk of the remodel for the homeowner.  We moved the microwave to a more accessible location and added a wine fridge as well.  This family is so happy with the way their new kitchen turned out and so are we!

Before and After! This homeowner experienced an unfortunate water leak which resulted in a partial demo of their kitchen. In order to keep the costs down we replaced only the cabinets that had been torn out. Old doors were replaced with new, shaker style doors, bringing the cabinets up-to-date. To keep the appearance clean and modern, we used white subway tiles, grey Quartz for the countertops, and stainless steel hardware for the doors and drawers. We also removed the florescent lighting and put in recess lights. By getting rid of the old step-up bar area and creating a flush extended peninsula, we were able to bring more functionality to the kitchen. Finally, we ditched the original vinyl and carpeting for a sleek mahogany laminate throughout the house. Overall, this project was kept within a reasonable budget while also achieving an overall face-lift. Needless to say the homeowner is very happy with their new and improved home!

Loving this kitchen?  If you’re looking to redo your own kitchen and are thinking of painting the cabinets consider just switching out the door style and keeping the cabinet frames.  They will need some TLC to be sanded and sealed but this is an area where you can really save some money and put it towards other areas of your kitchen upgrades!  Here are the main components which we used for this project: shaker style doors, elongated stainless steel cabinet handles, 3×6 white subway tiles, pre-fabricated grey Quartz slabs for the counter top, an undermount 60/40 stainless steel sink, Mahogany laminate flooring, off-white semi- gloss paint for the walls, Swiss coffee paint for the ceiling, white appliances.

Before and After! A beautiful kitchen remodel in La Verne. Our customer wanted a totally new and updated kitchen. Rather than tearing the whole thing out we decided to keep costs down by keeping the existing cabinet frames, added new doors and drawer fronts along with new drawers, all including soft-close hinges and drawer guides. We got rid of the tile top and replaced it with a beautiful granite. We also added a new stainless steel sink and faucet and last but not least we took out that old-school florescent light well on the ceiling and replaced it with recess lighting and crown mold. The cabinets were all hand-glazed to give them and antiqued appearance. All and all our customer couldn’t be happier with her new custom kitchen and neither could we!

Spring cleaning is right around the corner!

Thinking about finally cleaning out the garage?  This couple had wanted to tackle their garage for years and they finally took the plunge!  First off, we took out the old paneling on the walls and ceiling and replaced it all with drywall.  Then, we pulled up the peel-and-stick tiles that had been there for over 30 years!  The homeowners decided on a neutral epoxy floor.  But before we could start pouring it out we had to use a grinder to pull up all of the glue and debris that had built up over the years.  We also gave the cabinets a face-lift with fresh paint and new handles.  We tore out the old carpet and replaced it with commercial grade and we also built bi-fold doors to cover up the work station to give the overall cabinet area a flush and clean appearance.  After we painted the walls and added some new baseboards it’d be hard to know this was the same garage as it was before!  In regards to the kitchen, the couple was tired of their outdated tile counter top and over-mount sink.  We tore out the old counter top and back-splash and replaced it with a beautiful marble. We also replaced the over-mount sink with a stainless steel under-mount and paired it with a new faucet.

Since this project we’ve also taken out the carpet in several rooms in the house and put in laminate along with fresh paint and a new shed in their backyard. All and all this couple is knocking out items on their to-do list every couple of months!
