Glendora Fire Damage

This was a big project!  This home was almost completely burnt due to a fire that started by a cigarette.  We essentially had to build it from the ground up.  This home hadn’t been remodeled or touched since it was originally built in the 60’s so although it was a very unfortunate event that took place, this family essentially walked into a brand new home once everything was complete.  Before any actual construction could take place we had to get an engineer out to redesign the layout of the home, we also had to consider all code upgrades that the city required.  Sometimes, the longest process of rebuilding or building a home is to get all of the permits and plans signed off by the city.  Once we moved past this first stage we really got to start putting this home back together.  Electrical upgrades and all new plumbing were put in place, then insulation and drywall.  The only thing that was salvaged from the fire was the brick fireplace of which we ended up painting white.  We added more cabinetry in the kitchen and put laminate flooring throughout the whole house, minus the bathrooms.  3 ¼ base along with crown molding was also added throughout the entire home which really gave it a polished feel.  The hall bathroom ended up being one of our favorite rooms for this project.  We used a Travertine for the flooring and shower walls and Dark Emperado marble for the accent along the floor border and picture frame in the shower.  We also paired the new vanity with a Dark Emperado counter top and had a custom mirror and frame built that was stained to match the vanity.  The master bathroom consisted of White Carrara marble, decor liner and a 12×24 grey porcelain tile which came out great.  Pairing those elements with a dark vanity and double under mount sinks this bathroom turned out sleek and clean.  We could go on and on with how much we love the way this home turned out, but we’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking for us.
